Cats love to go after challenging things. They are hunters by nature. One of the fun games to play with cats stems from the fact that Fahren Heights has wooden floors and old-style doors with a nice gap at floor level.

The game is named after an element in the video game "Joust." In that game there is a lava troll that lives near the bottom of the screen. Any player that ventures too close to the lava troll may be grabbed and dragged to his demise.

Kitty lava troll may be played with snacks, toy mice, or whatever else a cat may be interested in (in fact, when playing, watch your fingers and toes). The cats naturally love to push their toy mice under the door and attempt to retrieve them. This, of course, leads to a nice collection of mice in either the office or bedroom. This provides hours of entertainment for both cats and humans alike. In fact, the cats will come to the end of the hallway in anticipation of a mouse shooting out from under the door and into the hallway (magically accomplished by human means of course).  Binkle insisted that we note that he is the champion lava troll when it comes to snacks!
